The George Saunders Memorial School provides education for students from Nursery to Grade 10. Due to the low number of Grade 11 and 12 students in the community, students are being sent to Grade 11 and 12 outside the community.

Local control of education is not fully implemented as post-secondary students are still funded by the Department of Indian Affairs with Private Home Placement (Gr. 10, 11 & 12) and Post-Secondary administration services provided by Keewatin Tribal Council Student Services located in Thompson and Winnipeg. The school has multi-grade classrooms.

School facilities include a baseball diamond, basketball court, playground equipment and a quarter-mile oval track. Living accommodations for teaching staff consist of 1 triplex, 1 duplex and 2 trailers. All buildings are serviced by a piped water and sewer system.
